African American singer/songwriter/bassist, Laura Love refers to her style as folk-funk, Afro-Celtic or hip-Alachian, entwining folk harmonies and instruments into her funk/blues/jazz/pop writing for almost two decades. Hitching rides at the intersection of folk melodies from the British Isles and the rhythms of Africa, Laura plays tunes that roam from her heartfelt originals, traditional spirituals, Civil Rights anthems and revved up bluegrass tunes.
